A Fred Gilman Law Suit.
L. A. Wiles, ofGoodland, trustee of the Fred Gilman bankrupt estate has begun suit in our circuit court against Fred’s brother George W. Gilman. He sues on three notes given by George to Fred agregating $2,772.31 and overdrafts amounting to $329.70. The complaint does not state how George came to give tnese notes to Fred, but according to outside statements the circumstance are about the most discreditable to Fred of any that have been revealed. The brothers are said to have traded farm properties, and the notes were given to cover the difference in the value of the farms. It is further said that Fred got the deed for George’s farm all right and also got these notes and used them for collaterals to, borrow money on, but that under some pretext or other he failed to give George the deeds to his, Fred s farm. Thus as the matter now stands George is out his farm and is also likely to have to pay all these notes, for which he has received nothing.
