A VERY CLOSE ESCAPE
There was mighty nearly a bad tragedy at the Main street crossing by the depot, Wednesday afternoon. Wm. Garland and wife, elderly people living .two miles north, started to cross the railroad just 8s the 2.04 train came in. The train was so close that it struck their baggy, and took off one of the hind wheels. H The occupants were thrown out of the buggy, but not at all hurL.
