While assisting in the digging of the grave of James Ford, who died of a blow on the head Harry Craig of Crawfordsvillc was arrested at Darlington and lodged in jail, charged with tiie murder. Ford was strpek two weeks ago. The trouble grew out of Craig's alleged attentions to Mrs. Ford while a boarder at tin- Ford home, and lie was ordered from the house by the husband. They fought, ami Craig struck Ford with a eiub. Since Ford's condition became serious. Craig devoted all his time to taking Care of (lie man's family, and when he learned Ilis victim was dead started to Darlington with a srrmrf' the dead man to have a grave in readiness.

His arrest was cause'll by John Pierce, president of the Crystal lee Company, who cashed a check for a farmer who had sold Norton-some hogs and received the cheek in payment. The check was declared worthies# at the bank. Pierce went to Norton and demanded payment of the check, but Nor ton refused to pay it and his arrest followed. CHLOROFORMED BY ROBBERS. Wealthy Woman In Marlon 1* Seriously Injured. MrS. Margaret Henderson, a wealthy woman, aged 155, was assaulted by robbers in Marion in broad daylight and relieved of money. Mrs. Ilenvlerson was returning from a shopping tour when she was attacked. She was beaten, cliloroformed and bound. When found by neighbors Mrs. Henderson was unfiWseious and in a serious condition. Hoping'to induce her husband to abandon his plan of siring for divorce and return to her, Mrs. John S. Berry of Indianapolis borrowed a new-born child from a neighbor, who had more than she wanted, and presented it to her spouse as her own. The scheme worked, and a reconciliation followed, but later the deception was discovered and the divorce suit was filed. Shoota Himself In Play.
