TRAINS WERE BALLED UP.
1 Abont one o’clock on, Thursday morning, a through freight train broke an axel, when near the Jefferson street crossing, in the northwest part of town, and the forward end of the car came down and the trucks jumped the track. It was necessary to send for the wrecking train at Monon, and it was nearly 8 o’clock before the trafcks were cleared np. In the meantime the paper lrain sou) h and the two early nprth trains and finally the milk train were all balled np here, waiting for the way to be cleared. There was no special damage done, other than the de lay.
