OBITUARY.

Mrs. Harriet Emerson| Porter was born in Alstead N. H, Dec. 16 1826, and died in Rensselaer at the lome of her daughter Mrs. S. S. Shedd Jan Bth, 1906. She was married in Alstead N. H. Aug. 7th 1852 to S. H. Porter, After their marriage they lived for several years in Boston, Mass., afterward returning to their former home in N. H. with this exception the most of her life was spent in her native state. In Oct. 1903 they came to Rensselaer, Ind., to make their home with their daughter Mrs. S. S. Shedd. There are left to mourn her loss, her aged husband, and three children, Mrs. S. 8. Shedd of Rensselaer, and F. *W. and Dr. John C. Porter, Of Chicago. A ll silk floss 3c skein at Laßne Bros.
