The Baby Show Was Great

, The i baby show -in connection with the poultry and pet stock show, at two o’clock last Saturday afternoon, was the most popular event of the show, and drew an immensecrowcL The babies were divided into two classes, those of nine months of age and under in the first class and those of 9 to 18 months in the 2nt class. Some 7orß 6f the prettiest, brightest and sweetest babies Jasper or any other county ever produced, were entered in each class. Barney Comer, the “King of Nubbin Ridge” gave the prizes, a Plymouth Rock rooster, for each class, and he acted as master of ceremonies, while B. F. Ferguson registered the entries and C. W. M-y, of Carpenter township was the judge. He awarded the prize in the Ist class to Grace Augusta Phillips, age 8 months, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phillips, of Rensselaer, The second prize to Ruth Mildred Norman, age 15 months, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sol Norman of Union township.
