A Good Citizens League Organized.

A meeting was held at the Methodist church, Monday evening, to take steps toward the better enfoi cement of laws for the regula tion of saloons, aud the suppression Qt gambling aud other prac tioes which tend to the demoralization of the youth and manhood of the community. The meeting was well attended by prominent citizens. S. C. Irwin was temporary chairman o* the mect i g aud E. G. Warren* secretary. A permanent organization was effected, aud • uamed The Good Citizens’ League of Rensselaer. The officers are E G. Warren, president, J. F. Bruner, vice-president, C. W. Coen, secretary and Granville Moody, trea surer. Executive Committee, the president and treasurer, and D. H. Y<oman, John Rush and Robert Michael. A constitution was adopted and a committee to solicit memberships appointed.
