A Pint Well Taken.
Recently a church congregation in a liltle Kansas town built a J church. To pay for it they were obliged to call on the merchants of thecommunity for donations. The merchants responded liberally and S3OO was raised from this source The last man asked to subscribe was John Smith, a jewefer. “I will give you $5 if yon will let me add something to the subscription list,” be said. The permission was granted him and he wrote at the foot of the list: John Smith, jeweler, $3. Sears, Roebuck & Co., SO. Montgomery Ward & Co., SO. The church people saw the point when the minister read from the pnlpit the list of donors to the building fund andjjsince the dedication of the church there have been no mail orders sent ont ftom tba Kansas town..
