Obituary of Mrs. Elizabeth Scott
Mrs. Elizabeth Healey Scott, a sister of Mrs. W. 8. Coen, of our city, recently died at her home near Idaville, White county, and the following sketeh of her life is condensed from the Idaville Observer: Elizabeth Healey Scott was born in Henchingbrook, Canada, Nov. 2, 1831, and died Dec. 1, 1905, aged 74 years and 29 days. When eighteen years ol age she came with her parents to Cass county, Ind., where sbe resided until her marriage to Caleb Scott, Jan. 10, 1858. To this union were born nine children, Mrs. Mary Burgett, Mrs. Dr, Hattie Wilkerson, Mrs. Maggie Tedford, Mrs. Grace Churchill, Mrs. Viola Bunnel, Sylvester A. Henry, and a son and daughter who died in early childhood. She leaves to mourn her departure a companion, two sons five daughters, two etep-sons, twenty grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, one sister and a host of sympathizing friends. ' Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Elder A. W. Jackman, assisted by Rev. W- P. Tedford. Interment was made in the cemetery near the home.
