It is understood that the proposed order permitting mail to be delivered to rural by rural boxes by number will not be carried into effect. The postmaster general after issuing the order some two months ago, suspended its operation while the rural delivery division supervision superintendents all over the country gathered ex-1 pressions tending to show public sentiment on the subject.
