Obituary.
Louisa M. (Blaukenbaker) Thorn-1 ton was born in Virginia on April 4th, 1832, and died at her home 5 miles northwest of Rensselaer, Ind. ’ on Sunday Dec. 10th 1905, at 1 p. 1 m. aged 73 years, 8 months and 6 days. She was the 6th of a family of; nine. Four of whom have preceded her. Those remaining are James Blankenb&ker and Mrs. Isaac Stacker of Mt. Ayr, Newton Co., Mrsc Henry Childers of Delphi, and Simeon Blankenbaker of Keighley Kansas. In early childhood she came with her parents to the Southern part o 1 Ohio, where she lived a few years, and afteiward moved to Bartholomew Co. Ind. where she resided for sometime and in the fall of 1858 mowed with Mr. Henry Childers to New ton county and on Jan. 22nd, 1859 was united in marriage to George B. Thornton. wh» preceded her on Jan. 21st, 1892. To this wuhm were born 8 children, all of whom survive her, viz: Mary A. Kimble of Gifford, Ind., Samuel B. wli- * was residing with her at time of her death, Emily J. Reynolds of Rensselaer, Margaret E. Fleener of Kansas, Della R. Remcker of Donaldson, Minnesota, Clinton D. of Hillsdale, Mich., Vernon H. also of Donaldson, Mu in.' She was a member of (he Primitive Baptist denomination of Mt. Aj r.
Two weeks previous to her death she was stricken with paralysis. During the greater part of that time, she suftered untold agony which she bore with much patience. She was a kind and patient [ mother, a good neighbor a kind ' friend and counsellor. She was - one who w ill long be remembered Iby all who knew her. The funeral services were conducted by Elder Jones of Sheridan, Ind. on Tnesday Dec. 12th, at 11 a. m. in theF. W. Baptist church of Rensselaer. Ind. A large concourse of people met to pay the last tribute of respect. F. W. White teacher ot Violin, Mandolin and Guitar. Residence North Front street. Want 15 young men to learn Clarinet.
