Another Dredge is Digging Dirt.

* And now still another steam dredge is shoveling away at the big job of digging the Iroquois Ditch. This one is that of Carter Bros., of Danville, 111,, who have the contract for the Davisson Lateral. They started their dredge for the first time Tuesday afternoon, at the upper end of the ditch and some 11 miles due north of Rensselaer. The lateral, with its findings, is some eight miles long. The landowners along its couise are hoping for favorable dredging weather all wiuter and expect, in that event, to be able to derive much benefit from the ditch, next year.
