Many Democrats to Attend.

Many prominent democrats of the State will attend the Jackson day celebration at Lafayette on Jau. 8. It is expected that the State Committee will hold a meeting at Lafayette that day. Friends of W. H. O’Brien say that while he is not making a canvass for the committee chairmanship he is a receptive candidate and will not refuse the office if it is tendered him again. •=*
