About The Iroquois Rock Work.

Although C. H. Sternberg & ■lons the contractors, are buying the drills for the rock work of the Iroquois ditch, the actual drilling ind blasting has been sub-let to Jud Moore near Monon, and he s the owner of the 50 boxes ol dynamite just unloaded at lour de pot. He has had much experience in rock drilling and blasting. The plan of carrying out this rock is for Moore to drill the holes and blast the rock. He will leave it where he breaks it and when th* big i y ard dredge,comes dowi t the main channel, it is expected to go right ahead and shovel out this broken rock also. This is con fessedly and experiment, however, and may not prove practicable in the end. The tripods for the drills wert shipped from New York last Thurs day and ought to be here next Thursday.
