The Democratic City Convention.

The Democrats of Rensselaer held their city convention Monday afternoon, with 25 or 30 present. They nominated the following ticket. For Mayor, Charles A. Roberts. For Clerk, Wm. Barkley. For Treasurer, U. M. Baughman For Councilmen at Large, David H. Yeoman and John Eger. For Councilmen by Wards. First, Henry Hildebrand. Second, John Shamlaub. Third, Eli Gerber. The nominations were all by acclamation without opposition except in the case of clerk, whei e the name of N. Littlefield was also presented. The vote on them was viva voce and Mr. Barkley was decided to have it. John Eger has declined to accept the nomination.
