McCoy Matters Moving Satisfactorily.

Considerable important Business was disposed of at the creditors meeting at Hammond, Tuesday and Wednesday. The proper record was made up as to the final decision of the Lafayette and other bank creditors, as per Judge Anderson’s decision, and they are now finally disposed of. In regard to the affair of McCoy, Son & Porter, in which a little over $16,000 was claimed by the trustee, for the benefit of the bank creditors, the referee decided that this was a branch of the bank firm of A. McCoy & Company. By this decision sojne $15,000 will come into the A. McCoy & Co,, fund, for the benefit of the bank creditors. For improvement s made on the Jordan Tp., farms and paid for by money out of the bank, 'the referee allowed the trustee $4,000, also for the benefit of the bank creditors. The most that was hoped for on these two matters was $21,000, and $19,000 was secured. The A. McCoy & McDonald matter was finally disposed of, and the creditors will get 10 cents more on the dollar, in addition to the 50 already received and that is all they ever will get.

The formal order was entered for a 20 per cent, dividend to the bank creditors, and a 40 per cent, for the A McCoy creditors. There are a little over 800 persons" who will share in the 20 per cent, dividend and a little less than 50 to be in on the 40 per cent. The dividend sheets are being prepared and the checks written, and probably the checks will be ready for the claim ants early next week. The matter of G. M. Wilcox, who owes the bank but claims a set off was heard but not decided. So also the matter of Mrs. Martha Me’Daniel. She claims to have had an agreement by which she was to have been allowed interest on her time deposit, after the time ran out. This interest claim would amount to about S4OO. Nothing was done with the S. R. Nichols matter, nor with the var ious Rinehart cases and claims.
