Prison Sunday, Oct. 29th.

Amos W. Butler, secretary of the Board of State Charities announces that October 29, is desig nated as “Prison Sunday” to be observed by churches of all denom inations throughout the state. On this day it is customary for ministers to devote their sermons to a discussion of prison reforms and prison ideals. Announcements of the day are now being sent out from Secretary Butler’s office to ministers. Pamphlets telling of prison reform work will be furnished interested persons on request.
