A 90th Birthday Observed.
Grandmothei Lucinda Antrim, widow of Dr. Thomas Antrim, a former recorder of Jasper county, was 90 years old Sunday, and the event was made the occasion of two considerable parties. Saturday afternoon some 30 members of Milroy Circle Ladies of the G. A R., of which Mrs. Antrim isa “Mother” member, met at the home of her daughter, Mrs. wash Scott, on Van Rensselaer stieet, and spent the afternoon very pleasantly. Sunday the relatives visited her to the number of 28, including a number from town and the following from out of town. Lncien Massey, a brother, and Mrs. Joe Hardesty and daughter and Mrs. Geo. Howe of Medaryville; Mr. and Mrs. Frazier Antrim, of wheatfield, Elbert M. Antrim, of Chicago, Mrs. Henry Sparling, of DeMotte, Mr. and Mrs. John Hill, of Gifford and Miss Blanche McGinnis, of Roselawn. Grandmother Antrim was the mother of 8 children 7 of whom lived to adult age, though only three are now living. She also raised six of her grandchildren and two great grandchildren and one nephew. Her living descendants, besides the three children, are 20 grandchildren, 18 greatgrand children and one great-great-grand child.
