A Brutal Case In Lake County.

Lake County has just had a Roy Kellenberger case, only worse. A six year old girl at Whiting was criminally assaulted by a 4ft year old man named Ellaree. It is said the little girl is in a critical condition and may die. The Goshen News-Times recently suggested the proper treatment for cases like this, and which is approvingly quoted by M. M. Barnard, assistant superintendent in the Jeffersonville Reformatory, i n the latest issue of the Reformatory Reflector. If the method should be applied in El laree’s case all the people will commend the act, even if not yet authorized by law. The method would forever remove the power and inclination for snch degenerate deeds, and though it actually would be a kindness to the person subject to it, wonld still have such a terror for other criminals similarly disposed, that it wonld be the best deterrent for that class of crimes thatconld be devised.
