Closed Hanting Season.

A communication has reached this office from Z. T. Sweeney, commissioners of fisheries and game, stating that Section 608, ■which reads as follows. ‘‘lt shall be unlawful to hunt any kind of game, except wild duck and other water fowls, at any time from October 1 to November 10 of the same year.” is now in force and will be rigidly enforced by his deputies. The object of the above section is to keep all hunters out of the fields for forty days previous to the open season for quail, as many persons go out to shoot squirrel, rabbit and other game and kill quail. Also, any persons hunting outside of their own township at any time without a resident licei se will be arrested.
