The Padgett horses are still a Lexington, Ky., this week, where there is a two weeks’ race meet They made another big killing last week, and added about a suit cast full of blue grass money to the big wad they got off from the down carters, at Wheeling. 'Dan P. won first money in a SI,OOO race. He finished 7th in the first heat, in 2 131, whereat beyond peradventure the Colonels would take any kind of a bet offered by his backers, and no doubt they were given all they would take. Then Dan P. won the race in the next three heats, straight, finishing in 2.08, 2.091 and 2.08 L He is evidently a great horse. He belongs to John Priest, of Francesville, but is leased to. the Padgeti combination for the season, and i is also said they have an option t< buy him at the end of the season for SOOO. They have already been offered SI,OOO for him.
