Special Train For Cottage Dedication.
■■ -' S The Jasper County building at the State Soldiers’ Home, at Lafayette, one of the very best county buildings there, will be formally dedicated on Wednesday, October 18th. It has been decided to V; give the people of Jasper county an opportunity to see the soldiers’ home on that day, at very little expense. To that end a special train for Lafayette will leave Rensselaer at 7:30 a. m., and the fare will be only $1 for the round trip. The return can be made on any regular trains of that day. Those who wish can come back on the train which reaches here at 3:30 p. m,, or they can leave Lafayette at 5 p. m., and connect at Monon with the train which reaches here at 6:32 p. m. Remington people can leave there on the regular morning train east and connect with the special from Rensselaer at Reynolds. Returning they will leave Lafayette at 5 and connect with a special at Reynolds. Their fare will be 70 cents from Reynolds to Lafayette and return, and 60 cents from Remington to Reynolds and return. A great barbecue is to be held at Battle Ground this same day in celebration of the opening of the new trolley line from Lafayette to the soldiers home and Battle Ground and the Jasper county visitors will have opportunity to attend that, also.
