A Notable Theatrical Event
At the Chicago Auditorium Monday Oc= tuber 16. The Mighlitst of All Beauty Spec, taeles— Humpty-Dumpty Beginning Monday, October 16, at the Auditorium, Chicago will be seen what is universally conceded to be the largest theatrical organization and the most collossal and magnificent production known to theatrical history. It-is that of Klaw & a Krlanger American repi uductiou of the greatest of the English Drury Lane spectacles entitled Humpty Dumpty. Its Chicgo presentation will be the same in every detail as that which c'laractrrized the London and New York engagements for the past two years, and with the same great cast and tremendous ensemble which comprises between 350 and 100 notable comedians, singers, dancers, specialists, pantomimists and acrobats. Klaw and Erlanger, the Managers of Humpty Dumpty, who last Fall presented another one of their important production “Ben Hur” at the same theatre, have made every 7 ejgort to make this,*theirjatest production of spectacle, the mightiest ami most gorgeous of all theatrical achievements, and are said to have produced the most colossal merger of mirth, melody and magnificence knowui to the annals of the stage, totally eclipsing anything that has gone before. An idea of the immensity of this production may Jbe gleaned from tne lact that more than 350 comedians, singers, dancersand pantomimists appear in it, and seventeen scenes, each as elaborate as an entire ordinary production, and more beautiful than has ever been seen upon the Amerscan stage, are used. The costumes number 2000 and cost aloue $150,000 to produce. Never has so much (in the way’ of quantity) been offered for the money. The principals of the case are Frank Moulan, Maud Lillian Berri, Nellie Daily, Diamond Donner, William C. Schrode,GeorgeSchillei John G. Schrode, Joseph Smith, John'McVeigh, Madeline Seville, David Abrams, the marvelous Grigolatis Flying Ballet and 350 others.
