Stewarts Make a Proposition.

The senior members o f the I'rm of Stewart & Son was here Monday, and delivered what sounded like his ultimatum on the Iroquois Ditch rock section. It was that he would take the contract at 98 cents for the rock aud 18 cents for the earth over the rock which he says was his lowest bid while this section was offered by itself. He claims to have the advice of his attorney, Judge Shirly, of Koko no, that the sale of all the sections together was illegal. Edward Bodette has perfected his bond for all the dredge work above the rock section.
