Another Ditch Date Appointed.
The (’omrnissioners re considered the day set for resuming the hearing in the matter of the Iroquois ditch, and appointed Thursday Aug. 24th, as the day. It is hoped that by that time Stewart & Boos will see their way to accept the rock section, and file their bond or else some other reliable party be found to 'when they will assign their bid. If they do this and Judge Thompson is on hand with the goods in respectjto the bonds, there is but little doubt but that the many alleged irregularities, or legal technicalities in manner of the sale will be passed over, aikl the good but long delayed work of constructing the ditch can at last begin. Our Reference to Judge Thompson a i the bt nds, is in regard to a pledge he gave to the Commissioners i nursday, that a market for all the bonds at not less than par nor at more than legal interest ral«%. would be ready by the next day of. hearing.
