Today Is Iroquois Ditch Day

Friday is the day set for let'iug the contract for the big Ircquois ditch, and the proepeota now are that bidding will be lively. Prospective bidders have been coming for several days and looking over the proposed ditch, with a view to preparing bids. Some of these men are figuring only on the rook work, and some only on the dirt work, and come on both. By Wednesday evening some seven firms from four different states were represented here, and more have been coming since. That bids within the viewers’ estimates will be submitted seems now an assured fact.
