Chaff From the Threshers.
So far as learned G. B. Lewis, of Barkley was the first man to thresh his oats, in this vicinity; and he began to market his Tuesday. His yield was not quite so large as generally reported, being from 40 to 45 bushels per aore. Will Murray, also of Barkley, is now marketing his, and the yield is right around 50 bnshels, Floyd Robinson, just east of town, has threshed, and his oats go between 50 to 55 bushels, j Henry Kohlhoff south of town, had one of the best yields yet roported, 56 bushels per acre. John W. Mariatt, north of town, went Kohlhoff 7 better, his yield on 17 aores being 63 bushels to the acre. Oats are a little more than "weighing out” running from 32 to 34 pounds to the measured bushel. Wheat, what there is of it, *b turning out splendidly. Henry Eiglesbaoh, on the J. M. Wasson farm, southeast of town, threshed out 25J bushels of splendid wheat to the aore, from his 30 acre field. While Sol Norman and Ohas. Pullins, both of Barkley, are said to have got 30 bushels to the aore, J. D- Walker 22 bushels. Oats’started in at 27 oents, but are now 25 oents. Wheat ia 75 oents.
