A few weeks ago mention was made in these columns of the escape of Chas. Fnndy, an old man who took a team of horses and a boggy from a Pern liveryman . The old rasoal was CBptnred in Fond da Lao, Wis„ bat he had sold the boraes separately to ward off snspioicn or liability *to being discovered. In this he did not connt on the ability of the officers and in less than two months after committing the theft he was over* taken and placed under arrest more than three hundred miles from where he stole the team and buggy- Fnndy has a long criminal career being seventy years of age, daring which time be has served time in the penitentary for horse stealing, and forty years ago was a saloonist in Logansport. He has been sent to Peru and bids /air to end his days behind prison walls
