Missed a Trip.
Mr. Haskell stood before his dressing table arranging his tie when cries of mingled grief and rage floated up to him from the living room. He went to the head of the stairway and looked down. “What’s the trouble?” he called patiently. “Who is crying?” “Lloyd,” answered several voices. “What have you been doing to him?” “Nothing at all, papa,” came in chorus. “You must have done something,” insisted the voice of experience. “We’re playing that your big chair is a ferryboat. Lloyd missed it, and then he howled. That’s all, truly, papa.”
