Bad Accident at Parr.

Wednesday at Parr, about 2.30 p. m., Simon McCurtain a young man about 30 years old, and another man tried to board a moving freight train, to go to Fair Oaks. The other man got ou all right, but McCurtain made too direct a tackle, and was down between the train and the platform. One of the wheel boxes struck him and and cut a tremble gash in his side, he also has a scalp wound, and various bruises, and possibly is injured internally. A physician from Rensselaer reached him 35 minutes alter it happened, by automobile, and gave the necessary surgical attention.

It was found that the cut in the side had entirely severed a piece of the hip bone about as large as the pa>m of a hand and which bone was lost thus making it likely that he will always be more cr less crippled. He also is a very weak :rom great Joss of blood, but uuess it is found that he has ex tensive internal injuxie°, he w.ll probably recover,
