After Juvenile Tobacco Users.

The using of tobaooo by young boys under 16 years of age, has become a very flagrant matter in Rensselaer lately, and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Leopold, is preparing to make it interesting for some one if an end is not put to this vicious and injurious practice. The young boys smoke both pipes and cigars, and also chew, and what is worse many boys of from 10 to 15 or 16 years old, thus use tobacoi about the school house, and thus their bad examples, cause many others to do the same. The law in regard to children having tobaooo is very strict. It forbids supplying them with it in any way, by gift, sals, exchange directly or indirectly; or any way supplying it to others, who they know, or have reason to believe, will turn it over to children under 16, And the advising or ooneeling or persuading of children to use tobaooo is just as strictly prohibited. The penalty provided by this law is a fine of not less than $lO nor more than SIOO and a jail sentence may be added.
