A Grand Polish Wedding.

Valparaiso Messenger: Married, at Otis, Rev.’ Ratzksvitoh officiating, Mike Poholsky to Miss Anna Drevetski, daughter of Valentine Drevetski, of Jackson township After the oeremony which was witnessed by a large ooncourse of relatives and friends the bridal couple went to Chesterton, where the wedding fesst was held. The entire night following was spent in dancing and festivities. A large orowd came from South Chicago. Michigan City and Otis, and it is oonoeded that this was the grandest Polish wedding ever held in Porter oounty. The expense was $340 and the receipts from the plate breaking danoe were $240. The plate breaking danoe is exclusively a Polish custom. A large dishpan containing plates or sanoera is plaoed on a table and as the dancers go round each one takes a silver dollar and breaks a plate or saucer with it and then drop the money into the pan.
