No Room for Trebes

Clerk Warner has received notioe from Longoliff a ylnm that the application', for the reception of Henry Trebes. alias Dutch Henrv, is suspended for want of room in the male department In the meantime Trebes is in a deplorable condition at the county farm. There is no suitable room there for an insane man and no faci’ities for caring for him. and Supeirntendent Phillips being siok and the rest of the papp'e being afraid of him, there is no one who can care for him properly either. Neither is there any known prooess of law by which he oan be transfered to the jail. It has been published that Trebea’ condition is due to opium or other narootios, but Attcruey Jasper Guy says he has investigated the matter and can find no oonfirma‘ion of the statement, neither did he have any money to buy drugs with. For some time however he has had a mania for eating common salt and would take it by the handful. This and the exceedingly short rations he has been kept on for some months pas), perhaps largely accounts for. bis dilapidated physioal and mental coudition.
