Fickle April Has Gone Away.
And in its place oome constant May. And this year April has not only sustained but added to its reputation for fioklenees. It was a month of o'ouds and sunshine, storms and fair weather; of rain and snow and calm and blow. It rained on 11 different days, and «no|?ed some on four. The totej wetness was 3.86 inches, whioh was more than twice what there was in Maroh. There were 11 cloudy days, 15 partly cloudy and o: ly 9 classed as clear. The warmest weather was 78 degrees on the 28tb, and the coldest 25 degrees on the Bth. The average for the month was only two degree# warmer than Maroh. On the whole it was a fine month, for farmets to do their spring work, and vegetation made g :od progress.
