It Was a Big Rain.

The rain storm which began before daylight and lasted until Bfter dark Thursday, relieved a decidedly serious condition of drouth, and relieved it very thoroughly. It was in fact one of the biggest rains for a good many months. The total rainfall, as shown by the U. S. rain-guage whs 2.20 inohes, just two and a fifth inohes. It is the largest precipitation of any single storm since the last week in April, 1904 when there was a rainfall of 2 23, in a storm that began the 24th and did not end until the 26th. It also is a 1-trger preoipitation than for any entira month since last September.
