There is always something doing where Constable Lyman Zea is, and he never gets cut of his own jurisdiction, as a peace cfficer. In faot he might be sa ; d to carry his jurisdiction with him, wherever he travels, An incident that befell him recently in Chioago, is thus related by himself. He was walking with a nephew and they went behind eome old lumber or rubbish to scrutinize the Chioago ecenery in its wi'dtr aspects. The nephew moved on before Lyman, end bs he turned to follow, two herd looking citizens stepped into view and called oijt to Lyman “Hold on there Dad, we want to talk to you.” ‘‘All right" says Lyman, but I’ll do the talking,” and with quickness that would disoourt Bat Masterson he had them both locking down the grinning barrels of a big six shooter. “Now you git” says Lyman M or shoot the stuffing out of you.” 1 hey go*, and in their oase at such a rate, that they oould hardly have stopped running yet, if they had wanted to.
