THREE LAWYERS TO BE TRIED.

Mayor Darrow and City Attorney Worden, of Laporte, and Attorney J. W. Talbott, of South Bend, have bad obarges of bribery and snbo.-nation of perjury filed against them at Lsporte and they must stand trial, under the oharges probably in May, Briefly stated the history of the case is as folio as: Messrs. Darrow and Wordan, who are law partners were defending Mrs. St.Mla Lulls, charged with stealing furs from Zeeee’s store at Michigan City. Mrs. Rose Duck, of South Beod, was placed o a the stand by the de sense, She testified that she was a clerk in the Fair Store at Chicago and sold Mrs Lulla tin furs in question. Her testimony inflaenc ed the jury so that they returned a vorJiot of not guilty. Later Mrs Duok confessed that she had given false testimsny, for which she was piid $25 by the attorneys for the defense. She stid Talbott procured her for the other two. Whether I her confession will be supported b/ other evidence remains t) be seen at the trial.
