Files a Cross Complaint Against His Divorce Sait, That Is a Ripper From Rippem'Ue. The next stage in the bitter legal battle now being waged between Attorney Jaspe: Guy of Homing ton, and his wife, Mrs, Josephine L. Guy, was in the form of a oross oomplaint. to Jasper’s complaint for a divorce, filed some months ago. The oross oomplaint was filed by her attorneys today and is almost as long and nearly as] sensational as his original oomplaint. Tee cross-comp’aint states they were married May 28, 1896, and separated Dec. 19, 1904. Her name at marriage was Emery, and 1 she had one child and he had seven, She asserts be has been guilty of cruel and inhuman] treat meat for the past eight years. Some of the special acts {charged against him are as follows: Would talk bad about her to the neighbors, look her in room, hide her olothing, strike, kick and abuse her. She says further that he has been a habitual drunkard for eight years, and also a gambler, and gambtes'away bis money to annoy her. She declares she has but little means she can use for herself; ibut that he has p operty worth *54,000 and the abi’ity to earn $2,000 per year. 9he therefore asks for a divorce a judgment for sd,ooo and the privilege'of resuming her former married name Emery
