Bedford Wins at Kentland.
The Rensselaer case of Lewis T. Hammond vs F. W B-dford, was tried in Kentiand, Thursday, on ohange of venue. This case grew cut of the Bale by F. W. Beds jrd of the propsrty where the short order restaurant is to Hammond a traveling wire fence lightning change anint. He put up a good sound story intending to buy the property pb the site for a wire fence lactory but it is said raaliy intended to re: sell it to a saloon keeper [for a sploon which Mr. Bedford would not sell it fcr. The oontraot of sale provided that either party who refused to oarry out thecontraot should forfeit SSOO to the other Bedford refused to oarry out the sale, after he found it was to be used for U saloon, and Hammond sued for the 1500. The first trial was here and the jury disagreed. Hammond then took change of venue, and it was tried again at Kentiand as stated. Mr. Bedford’s principal defense was that the notes and securities tendered him for the property were not satisfactory and the jury decided in his favor
