George Gowland, an aged and very highly esteemed oitizen o f Rensselaer, th< not of many years residence herp, died last Friday morning, March 3let at 4 o’olook, at his borne on E m street, in the east pirt of town. He hbd been sick all winter and codA. ed to his bed three months, with a ohronio stomach troub’e and the general failure of old age. He would have been 77 years old next June. The funer 1 was held at Trinity M. E. oburoh, Sunday, at 2:30 p.m., by the pastor Rev. H. L. Kjndig. Burial was at bis former home, at Gcodland, Monday, about nooa.
