. Last Saturday's papers bring the news of the failure of the big Boston Uoero Company, of which Ex Congressman and eecrtLry of state, W D. Oven was the chief ogiuizer. Its obj j ct was the raising of sugar, coffee ito in Mexoio. The sums invested in it and probably totally lost, reach way up into the millions, Not unlikely considering how h ghly Mr Owen has always been esteemed here, some of our re?idents may be among the inventors. It is stated that* the ool’apse of this Boston 'company in no way effeots tie several Indiana com. panies engaged in the eame business and iu which various Rensselaer citizens are known to be interested.
