The Remarkable Landis Family.
T Kenesaw M. Landis, whom President Roosivelt has selected for one cf the district judges for the Northern federal district of Illiniois, is quite a young man to have attained so eminent a position being only about 39 years old. And though be is doub less a man of great abilities and fuly equal to the position yet probably the pull of his two brothers in Congress was of considerable help to him in getting the appointment. The brothers mentioned are C. B Landis of Delphi and Frederick Landis, of Logansport both men of marked ability and increasing influence in Congress, Still another member of the Landis family to attain high position is now postmaster of San Juan, in Porto Rico.- They are a remarkable and of brothers and have achieved their high position by pure force cf native ability and strength of character.
