Getting Rid of the Carp.

A systema'ic effort is now being made to rid Indiana streams of the pestiferous carp which were iotreduced a few years ego wi’h a flourish ( f trumpets as the food of the epicure. Deputy F.sh Comissiont r Baldwin, who is superintending the work of extermination in northern Indiana’ says the carp have shown a marked decrease in tbe last few years and that channel cat, pike and pickerel a*e breeding more freely where th -ir enemy has disappeared.
