Extends Their Terms Two Months.

One of the new laws enacted by the legislature extends the terms of all school trustees now in office until the first day cf August succeeding the expiration of any such term. The school board [is to consist of three trustees, so divided that the term of one will expire each year. Elections of trustees are to be by the common council at a regular meeting in the month of June, and the board [shall organize annually within five days after tbe first of August, and the treasurer chosen at that time shall exceute a new bond. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term, by election by the council or board of trustees* The salaries shall be fixed by the council and paid out of the special school revenue.
