Funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Cripps.

The funtral of Mrs. Elizabeth Orijpi was be d Thursday Mar. 16 at 10 0’0)0 k a m. at the residence of her son- in-law Frank King, on Elm street. Rev- B. F. Eergueon asaited by Rev, G. G. Clark conducted the religious services Tee Women’s Relief Corps rendered the funeral services at the residence, The floral offeiings were numerous and vuy tine. Interment wks made at Osborne Hanging Grove tp. by the side of her hu-band. Mrs Elizabeth J. Cripps was the daughter of Peter and Catherine and wr s born in Marion Go. Ohio, Aug- 7ih 1843. She departed this life at Rensteiaer, Ind, Mar. 14 1905 at the age cf 61 jears 7 months aid 7 days. Soe moved to Pulaski On, Ind- with her parents when 10 years old, Was a resident of Jasper county about 30 years. She was the only sister of s'x brothers of whom three survive her, namely Stephen Nathan and Thomas Eldredge. She was a resident of Rensselaer for 13 years. She married Stephen B. Cripps in 1869 and of the four children born to them only the daughter | Mrs. May King survives her.

She united with the Christian church at Lafayette 85 years ago and remained a faithful member until death* She made all arrangements for her funeral and requated that the beautiful hymn “Nearer My God to Thee” be sung and Did her daughter and other relatives farewell. Expressed her readiness to depart whanever the Lord waspleased to tike her.
