Sarsaparilla “Floors Them."
“Of all the drinks asked for at this counter,” said the soda water clerk, “those doctored up with sarsaparilla are most frequently mispronounced. Not one person in ten speaks that word correctly. Most people call it either ‘sasapriila’ or ‘sasaprella? “Even people who know how to spell the word don't seem to be able to twist their tongues around the combination of syllables and make ‘sarsaparilla’ out of them. They may be able to pronounce words much harder without a stammer, but ‘sarsaparilla’ floors them every time.”—New York Times.
A Creature From the Fire.
Aristotle believed that some creatures were capable of supporting life even though confined to the devouring element. He says: “In Cyprus, when the manufacturers of chalcitis (lime) burn it im y days in the fire, a winged cri. ..ijO s larger than a great tly is seen Ktii.-r'-itig from the stone anti leaping and ■ allting about in the fire. These er at tres perish immediately upon being removed from the furnace.”
Damaging Admission.
“The baby weighs twelve pounds, floes he?’ said the proud youug mother. “Are you sure the scales are correct ?” “Correct!” exclaimed the equally proud young father incautiously. “Of course they are. They're the scales 1 always use for weighing the fish I catch.” —Chicago Tribune.

Expressive Name For Indigestion
B. F. Fendig Has a Simple Remedy That is Guaranteed to Core the Trouble. No one word better expresses tie oondition of the sufferer from weak stomaoh or indigestion than “misery.” Ihe stomach is weak and cannot di. gest th food, so that there is no appetite, there are pains and griping in the stomach and bowels, the head aud back ache, and the misery goes to every organ. Strengthen the stomach and the digestive system by the use of Mi-o-na. This is the only stomach remedy known that gives relief by strengthening the stomaoh and di gestive organa. Disgusting hands from Eczema cured by D.D.D. Prescription By reading t'ri Indy’s experience you may Save y. uia<rii ydars of fearful agony. D. D. D. Company, Chicago. Gentlemen:—l have suffered for a long time with fearful sores on my hands, in fact both hands were nothing but huge sores. It started from a very little spot between two fingers. I tried everything and many doctors, but until I began using D. D. D. nothing bellied me. I was even discouraged with this at first for I used it for four months but the hands continued to peal and scale and were no bettor. I kept on though and at the end of the fifth month there was some Improvement, and in seven months I wasentirely cured and my hands are now in perfect condition. To say that lam grateful doesn't begin to express my feeling. Life is now worth living, thanks to you. Sincerely, MAY BENSON, 1130 Seminary Ave., Chicago.
Thousands of wretched people are miserable —driven almost mad by the terrible itching and burning sensation of Eczema and other skin diseases. Many imagine they are suffering from bad blood, when as a matter of fact the blood has nothing to do with it. These awful tortures are caused by little germs that attack the skin externally, which can be rooted out quickly, leaving the skin clear, soft and healthy. The misery is cleared away as surely as the sun shines above. Not merely attempted, not a matter of improvement merely, not a temporary relief but a clearing of it all away absolutely and permanently. The D. D. D. Prescription, a specific formula, put up in sealed bottles with authentic label at |I.OO per bottle, has proven to be the only certain cure for these diseases.* Its record of cures is astonishing, amazing, almost miraculous. It is a liquid, used externally, non-greasy. 1. Try it on our guarantee. For Sale By B. F. Fendig
