A Men’s Club Organized.
A meeting.to organize a Men’s Club among the male members and friends of> the Presbyterian church was held Thursday evening at the church. The first proceeding was an elegant 6 or 7 course banquet served by the ladies of the church, in the basement, and which filled three long tables. After the banquet responses to toasts were made by Messrs Rev. A. G. Work, Rev. B. F. Ferguson, Jesse E. Wilson, G A. Williams, F. A Ross, B F. Fdudig, C. C Warner, G. E. Murray. The ‘‘Men’s Club of Rensselaer” was organized, with Rev. A. G. Work as president, O, G. Spitler Vice president, C. C. Warner Sec-, retary and W. H. Sanders, Treasurer. Its object is to promote greater sociability among its membe.s and meetings are to be held once a month, or oftener.
