Another Divorce Granted.
Judge Hanley began February term of court with a divorce case, -ended it in the same way, this being ended Saturday afternoon. The plaintiff was Mrs. Mary E. Peck, now of Keener tp., and the defendant George A. Peck. They were married March 30, 1882 aud lived together until July 27, 1902, when he wholly abandoned her. He has been a habitual drunkard for over 20 years, has wasted his •property in drink, and often came home drunk and cursed and swore at her and drove her out of the house. He has provided nothing for her support, for years, and she bad to support herself and daughter. He even owed her SSO for borrowed money. > The court granted her a divorce, alimony of S7OO aud the custody of their only child, a daughter 18 years old. Mrs. Peck is highly connected, being a sister of Jos. B. Sparling, of near town, and Henry Sparling, of DeMotte.
