Blue, former trustee of Mar oa Tp, and his bondsmen for $2,929.14, for township money lost in the McCoy bank. Tne judgment that Mr. Blue’s be exhausted beforr the bindsmen’s properly is levied upon. - Herman Sohulz the nom'nal proprietor of the Rosenbaum saloon, wis charged with keeping open at unlawful h >urd It seems that one cold Sunday in January, bo h Schultz and Rosenbaum w’era out of t;wn, and Billy Tanner went iota the saloon, and kept the firei going. Tne jury brought io a verdict of nut guilty. Shultz then plead guilty to public intoxication and wis fined $5 and costs. John McCurtain, of Union Tp was tried for trying to sell h's vote The complaining witness was Waller Harrington. According to a summary of h's evidence bes re the grand jury, and signed by him, he testified that McCurtain offered, for sl2, to deliver his own and five other votes f >r the candidates Mr. Harrington favored. At the trial Mr. Harrington stated that he was not sure McCurtain offered to include his ovn in the six votes, at the claseical pries of $2 each, but merely that he offend six votes. The court ruled out, as evidence, the statement before the ! grand jury, and the defendant was found not guilty. Richard H. Grow was appointed guardian for Elkanah Galbreath an o'd soldier, to take ohaige of his pension money, and see that it is not wasted.
