Thinks the Law Means What It Says.
Lafayette Call, j * “Pot away your games of chance and dice and close at 11 o’clock,” came the order from the police earlv Monday night, and the order was enforced. The order went out from Governor J, Frank Hanly Monday afternoon and went to every city in the State. Mr, Hanly stated as his reason that there was a Nicholson law and that it had to be enforced. The saloons closed at 11 o’clock Monday night, not in the wee small hours of the morning and all games were put away. It is stated that the order is to remain in force until the Nicholson law is changed.
